Big thanks to teaching artist Uasuf Gueye for his hip-hop celebration of voting, “Democracy,” which is the latest addition to The Civic Circle’s repertoire of civic songs.
This song is getting a lot of visibility on the eve of this historic election! Uasuf and teaching artist Nick Newlin are performing “Democracy” and other Civic Circle songs at the Family Community Sing hosted by the Washington Revels and Carpe Diem Arts, at a Montgomery College “Party to the Polls” family sing-along, and at the Revels-Carpe Diem Family Fun Night IN. This is how we get students and families excited about voting!
