The Civic Circle was honored to speak at a Networking Fiesta hosted by Montgomery County's Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at Guapo's in Bethesda.
It was a great way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, and share The Civic Circle's mission with Hispanic business leaders, who turned out in force.
Also presenting were WorkSource Montgomery and the Montgomery County Public Schools, and the county's Economic Development Corporation. Thanks to School Board candidate Julie Yang for sharing this photo, and for the chamber's Mauricio Vasquez for the invitation.
Our message to the business community: Civic learning correlates to college and career readiness, and democracy and a thriving economy are closely intertwined.
