WHAT IS DEMOCRACY?

This Lesson Plan introduces an eight-session unit on the seven civic skills that The Civic Circle calls "steps to democracy." It can also be taught as a standalone class. Designed for Grades 3-5 and adaptable for Grades K-2.

It consists of four elements:
