OUR MILESTONES IN 2025 INCLUDE:
- Mounted our first-ever Youth Democracy Fest, spotlighting student-written songs, poems and art about friendship, helping others and the other "steps to democracy" at the heart of our program.
- Offered our first workshops in Washington, D.C., bringing civic poetry to a group of Middle School students at the Columbia Heights Education Campus for their “World View Wednesdays.”
- Launched our first “Jobs for Change” career club in collaboration with Community CHEER, introducing students in Grades 6-12 to public service opportunities in government, nonprofits and advocacy.
- Expanded our team, welcoming four new board members, two new teachers, and a new program director.
