Thanks to everyone who made The Civic Circle's "A Civic Holiday" such a smashing success. It was an honor to receive visits from Rep. Jamie Raskin and from County Executive Marc Elrich, who both spoke eloquently about the importance of civic education.
Another highlight was vocalist Alison Crockett singing songs of peace. We even received visits from newly-elected Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles, and School Board member Julie Yang. Thanks to Jeffrey Slavin for your generous hospitality, and to co-host Margo Reid for being a Civic Circle adviser and friend. And thanks to all who attended!
