Civic Learning Meets Service Learning at Youth Summit

The Civic Circle was extremely honored to take part in The Maryland Civic Education Coalition’s virtual summit to celebrate Global Youth Service Day. Titled “Empowering Maryland Youth Through Service & Civic Engagement,” the summit explored how volunteering opens the door to civic learning and participation. Animal Advocacy Opens the Door

Civic Circle students at Weller Road Elementary School expressed concern about animal welfare, and this opened up a rich series of civic learning opportunities. First, the students donated supplies to the Humane Rescue Alliance, and created thank you cards for the workers there. (Join!)
