A thousand thanks to Carpe Diem Arts for including The Civic Circle in last night’s Community Sing. The Community Sing is a wonderfully civic event, and it takes place on the 21st of every month. This month we celebrated Music in Our Schools month by singing The Citizen Tango, which introduces students to the seven “steps to democracy!”

Student journalists rock! Big thanks to the editors and staff of the Northwood High School newspaper, Red & Black, for visiting Civic Circle students. The students had fun reading and learning about the paper, and even created their own “Zine” with the help of the high school visitors.

Teaching Artist extraordinaire Nick Newlin’s visit to the Weller Road Elementary School Civic Club had it all! Students wrote in their civic notebooks, wrote poetry, and wrote a song about peace together. And no NicoloWhimsey workshop is complete without a little juggling!
